We started Boomerang’s after being inspired by the ubiquitous and legendary handheld meat pies of Australia, and had a dream to have a delicious, fun handheld brand in the frozen food aisle.

At Boomerang's, we’re committed to providing you with a unique, convenient, meal option made with proper ingredients. Going forward from 2026 onwards, we’re excited to introduce new & unique handheld formats, and expand into a variety of new globally inspired flavor profiles.

What started as an idea on a beach in Sydney has expanded to thousands of homes across the country. Thank you for coming back for more! 🪃

2006

Boomerang’s starts in Austin, Texas, bringing Australian-inspired pies to local customers.

Boomerang’s continued to expand locally, to be found at the storefront at UT Austin Stadium, feeding festival goers at the Austin City Limits, and delivering pies to businesses and sporting clubs around Austin in our beloved food truck, “Sheila.”

2009

With the success of the local growth in Austin, Boomerang’s started to pursue grocery distribution.Initially working directly with Whole Foods in downtown Austin, they launched Boomerang’s in the frozen aisle. Boomerang’s focused on creating a tasty and unique product that would capture attention and taste buds.

2011

Due to growing demand, Boomerang’s moves into it’s own USDA certified facility in Austin to make it’s own pies in-house!

2017

Boomerang’s pies launches in their microwavable 1-pack box, which is a huge hit & a definitive part of the handheld pies to this day.

2024

After six years as a close partner, Mortimer’s acquired Boomerang’s in 2024, with the vision of bringing greater efficiencies and an enhanced value proposition to the table!
